2 for 1 Hot Chocolate Offer and a Gourmet Rumchata Hot Chocolate Recipe

The Holidays are coming, and fast. Here at 240sweet we've been busy, creating all those marshmallow flavors you love, as well as traveling all over the country. This way you can get your hands on our puffs, and start toasting to the holidays.

Today we aren't just toasting marshmallows, however. We're toasting with our Gourmet Drinking Chocolate. Plus, we're sharing our awesome recipe that makes the perfect use of our Decadent Drinking Chocolate mix. It's perfect timing too, because through Decemeber 12th, 2014 you can purchase this Decadent Mix, 2 for the price of 1! Hold onto your holiday hats, this recipe is a keeper. Your holiday guests will thank you, and so will your wallet.

This is rich, indulgent, and loaded with chocolate and delicious RumChata. Top it all off with a few 240sweet Artisan Marshmallows and you've got an adult treat worthy of the best time of the year.
Try toasting those puffs too, that kitchen torch has never been more handy.
We're at a record temperature low today in Indiana, but we're having no problem keeping warm with this wonderful cocktail. Wherever you are, warm or cold weather, Cheers!

240sweet Gourmet RumChata Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients:
1 Bag of 240sweet Decadent Drinking Chocolate Mix
3 cups Milk
1 1/2 cups Rumchata
240sweet Marshmallows for topping

Directions:
1. In a medium sized, heavy bottomed saucepan- heat milk and Rumchata over medium heat until hot, stirring constantly.

2. When the milk mixture is hot, reduce heat to low. Whisk in the 240sweet Decadent Drinking Chocolate Mix until smooth and frothy. (alternatively you could add the hot milk mixture to your blender, and blend with our hot chocolate mix, until smooth.)

3. Pour into mugs or serving glasses, top with your favorite 240sweet Marshmallows. You can also garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg, cinnamon, drizzle of caramel or chocolate. For added beauty and deliciousness, use a kitchen/creme brûlée torch to roast and toast those marshmallows.

Candy Judging at CSA

240sweet had the pleasure of judging a candy competition at Columbus Signature Academy. Sam and Nicole were able to try, test, and talk with students about their candy creations for the Sweet Side of Chemistry Competition. We were honored to be invited to participate in the judging.
Each student group created a confection and brand using their chemistry skills and ideas. They were many exciting, fun and tasty entires into the competition. The students not only used their chemistry know-how, but also incorporated marketing techniques that could be used to build the brand. Each group member had their own jobs and tasks to effectively develop a recipe and execute a final product.

We had a wonderful time being a part of the judging panel, and certainly can't wait for the next competition.

Great job CSA students and a big thank you to the faculty who coordinated the competition and sent us the wonderful invite!

Meet Us: Nicole Waldron

We've got a new face in the office and on the web, here at 240sweet. Nicole, our Creative Director, is here to help us with everything from product photography to social media management. We are looking to revamp our websites at 240sweet and Artisan Foodworks and Nicole is busy getting things squared away so it can all be headed your way. She will now be our new hand behind the blogs, our Facebook, Twitter, photography, graphic design, and much more. With a passion for food, and a creative drive, she hopes to create some great new content for our wonderful customers.

She has both training in the culinary, food styling, photography and graphic design field. She has been developing her own website www.confectionalism.com for the past year and is excited to be working with our wonderful team. Nicole lives with her boyfriend, Aaron, and her two four-legged children, Squashy and Rocko.

In her spare time she loves to create new recipes and photograph the processes in the kitchen. She's a big Chuck Palahniuk fan, and an even bigger fan of sweets, putting her right at home in our Marshmallow world. She has fallen in love with the Sriracha Marshmallows but says there is a special place in her heart for the Creme Brûlée puffs as well. When asked what she wanted to be when she was a child, she responded, "I had this unrealistic goal to be a flower. Seriously, an actual flower... I had dreams of me dressed as a giant daisy. My older sister, however,  crushed my dreams when she informed me of how much bees loved flowers. I really don't like bees."
